What is SSD & HDD?
SSD
A solid-state drive (SSD) is a new type of computer storage device. SSDs use flash-based memory to replace traditional mechanical hard drives, which is much quicker. Older hard-disk storage technologies are slower, causing your computer to perform slower than it should. SSDs substantially accelerate computers due to their low read-access times and high throughputs. For decades, data was largely stored on mechanical hard drives. Traditional hard disc drives (HDDs) rely heavily on moving components, such as a read/write head that moves back and forth to collect data. As a result, hard disc drives are the most likely computer hardware component to fail.
HDD
A hard disk drive (also known as a hard drive, HD, or HDD) is a type of non-volatile data storage device. It is often placed inside a computer, directly connected to the disk controller on the motherboard. More platters are contained inside an airtight shell. A magnetic head, which travels quickly across the platters as they spin, writes data to them.
Internal hard drives are housed in a drive bay, which is linked to the motherboard by an ATA, SCSI, or SATA connection. They are powered by a link to the computer’s power source (power supply unit). The operating system installed applications, and the user’s personal files are all examples of data saved on a computer’s hard disk.

and press enter.
Step 2. Once, the Disk Defragmenter window is shown, look for the Media type column and you can find out which drive is a solid-state drive (SSD), and which one is a hard disk drive (HDD).
