  1. Power on the computer and select F2 key at the Dell logo screen.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Verify the battery health information as illustrated

OR

  • Turn on the computer and select the F2 key at the Dell logo screen.
  • On the left pane, under General, select Battery Information.
  • Verify the battery health information as illustrated

Method 2. Check Dell Battery Health via Dell Power Manager

Dell Power Manager is only compatible with Dell Inspiron, Vostro, and XPS laptops running Windows 10 and requires the Microsoft.NET Framework 4.6.1 to be installed.

Open Microsoft Store and then search for Dell Power Manager. Once found, click Get.

When downloaded and installed, click Open.

For full functionality, click Download.

Once everything is done, launch Dell Power Manager. Navigate to the Battery Information menu, on the Battery Information page, you can easily check your Dell battery health status next to the Battery Health option.

  1. Excellent: The battery is performing to its full potential.
  2. Good: Battery charges normally; but, because long-term battery life is diminishing, you may notice a reduction in working time.
  3. Fair: The battery charges normally, although it is towards the end of its useful life. You should get a replacement battery as soon as possible.
  4. Poor: The battery is no longer able to deliver enough power. This battery should be replaced as soon as possible.
  5. The battery has stopped working or the state of the battery cannot be ascertained. The battery should be replaced if possible.
