The same code can also be included in an iOS Shortcut that can be picked from Safari’s Activity view (formerly known as the Share Sheet) if you want to watch a YouTube-hosted video in Picture in Picture, according to CodeEverywhere.

Here’s how to create YouTube PiP shortcut for iPhone:

Step 1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and tap the “+” icon at the top right-hand corner.

Step 2. Tap Add Action.

Step 3. Select Web.

Step 4. Under “Safari,” select Run JavaScript on Web Page.

Step 5. Tap the blue words Web Page, then select Shortcut Input in the pop-up menu.

Step 6. Remove the existing JavaScript code in the shortcut window and paste in the below code and then tap Next:

  • Open the Safari web browser and go to YouTube’s mobile website.
